Program:

Day 1. Meeting at the airport. Transferring and putting up at the hotel. Excursion + guide – the panoramic tour of Chisinau. Returning to the hotel.

• Overnight stay in a 3 or 4 -star hotel.

Day 2. Orheiul Vechi  / Cave monastery / Cricova winery. Excursion, lunch, and wine tasting.Branesti cellar and OLD Stone 

​Excursion to Orheiul Vechi (Old Orhei) situated in a picturesque setting, You’ll have the opportunity to visit the most interesting archaeological site housing and the ruins of two cities (14th -16th century). Tartars settled here on their expansion to Western Europe. Continue with a visit to the well-maintained Orthodox cave monastery of Butuceni, which was expanded and modified inside the cliffs by monks over the centuries. Christian churches provide magnificent scenery through the windows of the monastery which still functions today.

After Orheiul Vechi we will continue with Cricova underground galleries. You will see over seventy streets covering an area of nearly 53 hectares, each bearing Bacchic names: Sauvignon, Cabernet, etc.There is one story always told in this place about the Russian pilot Yuri Gagarin, who during a visit in 1966, after getting tipsy, got lost and missed the exit. He went out the next day, having spent the night in the tasting room, currently named after him. Here you can also admire the oldest bottle of wine, dating from 1902.

The wine region and its heritage, Old Orhei Complex

The remnants of the first human settlements, which are some hundreds of thousands of years old, were found in the stone caverns from here. The originality of Orheiul Vechi is due to the defile of the Raut river, dug under the form of a canyon in the limestone layers of the former Sarmatia sea, about 14 million years ago.

Day 3. Excursion+guide – Soroca Fortress and the Candle of Gratitude.

Excursion to the monument „Lumînarea Recunoştinţei” (the Candle of Gratitude) in Soroca. Nice monument that give a beautiful view of the Nistru river and Soroca town you’ll have the opportunity to claim around 650 steps on your way to the monument.
– Soroca Fortress is located 160 km from Chisinau. It was build between 1543-1546. It’s a huge fortification system placed on the bank of Nistru river to protect against the foreign invasions in the past.

We will also reach the incredible Gipsy Hill – another reality of our days. This is a region of Soroca town

Day 4 . Transnistria – Tiraspol & Bender city. 

Feel the atmosphere of this disputed territory which always has been a battlefield between the major powers of the region. The buildings of the Soviets, the monument of Suvorov and Vladimir Ilich Lenin. The city seems to be behind the times. At the same time, it is full of contrasts. One of them is the football complex “Sheriff” – a remarkable impressive building, a pearl of the modern architecture.

Day 5

Milestii-Mici winery. Excursion + wine tasting + snack.

Milestii Mici – a wine gallery registered in the “Guinness Book” – Over 50 km of the underground galleries are transformed into wine warehouses in the Milestii Mici Village (almost 20 km south Chisinau). The constant annual temperature of +12 … +14 C0 and the high moisture level offers favourable conditions to store the high quality wine. The wine collection consists of over 2 million bottles. The excursion is followed by a lunch with national food and wine tasting  in the underground gallery.

* visit Biserica de Lemn (the Wooden Church) is considered to be the oldest wooden church in Moldova, its origins being established in 1 642. Due to its historical importance and value, efforts were made to have the little orthodox church restored and relocated to the capital city.

Transfert to the pitoresque place from village  Milesti Mici

(Visiting the historic village Mileştii Mici you will be impressed by the twisted streets, cleanliness and freshness of the air and householders hospitality here. Each of the villagers greets the travelers and if necessary, offers them a cup of water, juice or wine. Moreover, the atmosphere here makes you hike across the streets of the village, loosing track of time.
